CLAY: CREATIVE CREATURES AND MORE!

This studio is suitable for a beginning artist or an artist with some clay experience. Projects will use artist-grade air dry clay, Stonex, that allows for all the applications of traditional clay without firing or baking. Artists will use a variety of hand building techniques to sculpt, pinch, roll, and carve their creations. Projects will draw inspiration from animals, nature, and more. Please bring a box to the studio to transport projects home every day.

CREATIVE STORY MAKING
July 6 – 12
12 pm – 2 pm
Artists will create their own stories with techniques inspired by scrap booking and design. In learning design basics, artists will construct their own story and book layout. They will illustrate the pages using various mediums and the final product will result in their own story book.

NATURE INSPIRED MIXED MEDIA ART
July 13 – 17
9 am – 11 am
Using clay, paint, sticks and stones, we will craft beads and charms, create clay tiles, construct environment-friendly mobiles and participate in the local Terre Haute R.O.C.K.S. program. This morning summer studio will be flowing with fun ideas, age-appropriate art techniques and beautifully created projects. Come and explore the possibilities!
