SELF-PORTRAITS

July 6 – 10

Using various techniques and materials, artists will experiment with self-portraiture. Artists will learn about art history and its impact on self-portraits, and various ways they can represent themselves in art in both 2D and 3D. They will use what is learned to gather inspiration in creating various artworks with themselves as the subject!

CALLING ALL BUDDING ARTISTS!

July 13 – 17

Have your young artist get familiar with the basics using a variety of techniques and media including but not limited to paint, clay and mixed media to create one of a kind pieces of artwork.

CLAY: ADVENTURES IN MUD!

July 20 – 24

9 am – 11 am

 

This is a clay studio for tiny artists to experience several hand building techniques. Projects will use artist-grade air dry clay, Stonex, that allows for all the applications of traditional clay without firing or baking. Artists will make many fun projects using the pinch, slab, and coil method. Projects will be centered on fun subject-matter such as animals, plants, and food! Please bring a box to the studio to transport projects home every day.

BEGINNING PAINTING STUDIO

July 20 – 24

9 am – 11 am

Artists will use and explore a variety of paints in this studio (including but not limited to watercolor, watercolor pencils, and acrylics) while learning various techniques and creating one of a kind art pieces.
